Leah Dubbin-Steckel

Born and raised in Calgary, Canada, Leah grew up in a very musical family. With two musicians as parents she started singing not long after speaking. Before moving to New York, she spent 6 years singing in bands for various weddings and corporate events all over Calgary, as well as 10 years working professionally as a voice-over actor for anime projects (Scan2Go, My Himé).

Once in New York, Leah studied in the Musical Theatre Intensive program at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), and has continued to study, taking classes with Patrick Page, Regina O'Malley and Brad Fleischer.

While in New York, Leah has had the privilege of working on some amazing projects ranging from new musicals (Sons & Dogs, Bigger Than Your Skin) to singing at The Astor Room (Michael Mott and Friends), to her ongoing work with Realize Your Beauty; a wonderful non-profit that performs for young audiences, addressing eating disorder prevention and body positivity.

Leah has an immense interest in the development and workshopping process of new and innovative music and theatre projects, and is excited to continue working and learning with other passionate, trailblazing artists.
